Andong: The Folkloric Mask City - English, Español

1. Andong: The Folkloric Mask City Gisela and I had the opportunity to go to Andong, a smaller city in South Korea. Andong is known as the birthplace of Confucianist beliefs, wooden masks, and soju, a famous alcoholic Korean drink. Gisela had a weekend trip planned with her coworkers, Aubrey and Susie. We were initially going to Seoul; however, it would be pouring. We then decided to visit some Eastern coastal cities. The weather was going to be crummy there as well. One of Gisela's coworkers, Susie's boyfriend, Mike, lived and worked in the Andong area. He was going to show us around. That Saturday morning, we went to Daegu's bus terminal to get to Andong, and the bus ride was only an hour and a half, which was not bad. We met up with Mike in a nearby town.
